Improvements in the iTero
While the iTero was already a vast improvement over dental molds, both in terms of convenience and accuracy, the new iTero takes this advantage even further.
- Size: the iTero Element is smaller, providing more space in the procedure room. It also uses a smaller scanner, meaning that patients don’t have to open their mouth quite so wide.
- Speed: Previously, the iTero captured one scan per second. Now it captures twenty!
- Touch Control: With the increasing advancements in touchscreen technology, the iTero can now be controlled in the same manner, making it easier to manipulate images.
- Motion Scanning: Previously, the iTero worked like a camera without video — scans were taken with a “click.” Now they are made with “scan in motion” technology, so the process of imaging a jawline is even easier and more convenient for both dentist and patient.
